The environmental variables are Ellenberg mean indicator values for light (EIV.L), temperature (EIV.T), soil moisture (EIV.F), soil pH (EIV.R) and nitrogen (EIV.N), water availability constraint (Soil.Water), cover of the tree (Tree.cover) and high shrub (H.shrub.cover) layers, balance between Hornbeam and Beech (Stand.1), degree of maturity of the Oak stands (Stand.2) and browsing pressure (Deer.Browsing).
