Schematic plan of the different pooling steps for the spectral and the chemical characterization of soils. Around 70 samples per depth were collected on each site and used for the infrared spectroscopy analyses. A first pooling level provided 12 samples/site/depth which have been used to C and N analyses. The second pooling level provided four samples/site/depth used for measuring the other soil properties (pH, CEC, Al, Mg, P2O5, Fe, Mn, Na, and K) analyses
