Difference between local and global satisficing metrics. The local satisficing metric measures the uncertainty horizon (number of α) outward from the best estimates (bullet point) of the (in this example) two uncertainties until a certain alternative fails performance criteria (blue interval). The global satisficing metric measures the percentage of scenarios (result of global sampling of the plausible uncertainty ranges) in which an alternative satisfies performance criteria (black dots)
