CFW) is wood tissue formed under tensile (resp. compressive) stresses, FW stands for the “flexure wood” (tissues alternatively experience compression and tensile strain). MSa-N and MSs-N are wood tissues formed in the neutral area where longitudinal strains are the lowest. The lines in the boxplot represent the median values. The bottom and top edges of the box indicate the 25th and 75th percentiles, respectively. Different letters show the significant differences between these values (Student t test, p < 0.05)
