Table 4 Responses of the 36 variables evaluated from models fitted using logistic regression, for the 12 studied species. The symbol indicates a significant U-shaped response curve, the ∩ symbol a bell-shaped response curve, the and symbols indicates respectively a decreasing and an increasing response curve. For qualitative variables (Dist, Trails, and Cut), a symbol is for coefficient values indicating in average a significant lower mortality with increasing logging intensity. A + symbol is for higher mortality with increasing logging intensity. When there is no symbol the variable was not significant (P > 0.05). RI = Relative importance. Nb= total number of species for which the variable was significant. See Table 1 for the corresponding species name and Table 2 for the corresponding variables name.
