Research Director at INRAE and fellow of the International Academy of Wood Science, Jean-Michel Leban developed models for describing the wood properties variability in relation with the growth conditions of the trees, allowing the simulation of the effects of forest management on the wooden products. He joined Annals of Forest Science as Chief editor in 2007. |
Andreas Bolte is a forest ecologist and head of the Thünen Institute of Forest Ecosystems in Eberswalde, Germany. His main research interests lie in forests and their adaptation to climate change, in root ecology and forest landscape restoration (FLR) as well as in forest monitoring and ecosystem research. He joined Annals of Forest Science as Associate Editor in 2013 in the fields of Forest Ecology and Forest-Based Bioeconomy (management, products, services). He serves as Chief editor from 2022 on. |
Head of Unit Forest Resources and Management at the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL since 2017, Marco Ferretti ’s research focus is in detecting changes in forest ecosystems, with emphasis on the influence of environmental drivers on forest health, productivity, and diversity. He joined Annals of Forest Science as Associate Editor in 2018 and serves as Chief editor from 2022 on. |
Forester and researcher at University of Kentucky, John Lhotka has built a silvicultural research program that promotes the health and sustainability of region’s forest resources through research related to forest regeneration and growth. He joined Annals of Forest Science as Associate Editor in 2018. He serves as Chief editor from 2022 on. |
Director of the Ecology Program at the Central South University of Science and Technology (Changsha, China), Professor Shuguang (Leo) Liu’s research interests are related to mechanisms of forest responses to global change.
